It’s amazing how you can post something on social media and get attacked because of it. Just got a private message from someone saying that since I support Tony Lucca and hate on Christina Aguilera i’m a misogynist.

 Christina typecast him into the MMC mold, and all Tony has done this season is try to break out of that. Yet she still finds it necessary to cut him down. I think she’s been unfair to him ever since she found out who he really was.

Christina’s not all saintly either. Her lyrics and image for a while there were beyond trashy. She also seems to forget she turned her chair around for him as well.

SO. With that being said;

In the words of my favorite, JC Chasez “give the finger to all the haters.”

I’m gonna respectfully disagree all over this post.

The shenanigans with Tony and Adam, particularly, have gone beyond what Christina’s initial comment warranted. She’s a judge for a talent competition, and her critique in regards to his performances and vocal abilities were spot on.

I’ve been a fan of Tony’s for over a decade, and for someone unfamiliar with his incredible indie works, he is 100% one dimensional on The Voice. Now.. instead of Tony taking that constructive criticism, he and his coach have decided to be immature brats and pretty much back Christina in a corner and try to shut her up. It reeks of misogyny to have two men be rude, condescending, passive aggressive cowards and have all of the annoyance and hatred fall to Christina and her “attitude” as though she’s supposed to sit there and laugh it off.

Because she has a history with Tony, her integrity is at stake, and I’m sure, with someone like Christina, she does not want her credibility tarnished as though she’s in on the constant reminders of she and Tony’s shared MMC past. It was so petty to have Tony sing BOMT, and for an artist like Tony, who has made a very credible name and relatively successful career doing his own thing, it was in bad taste.

A nearly 40 year old man was on stage trying to goad his much more successful former co-star, instead of growing from that initial critique and doing what he does best.

His song choices so far are nothing like what Tony Lucca has been about, so your odd statement about Christina turning her chair for him makes no sense. (His first audition was very close to his own musical endeavors and great for his vocal range, so of course she would turn her chair.) The cheesy antics, the sleezeball passive aggressive attitude, (though much of it seems to be coming from Adam, he’s standing idly by and is therefore guilty by association), and the bad karaoke versions of great 80s songs are so unneccesary if he was trying to make a more lucrative touring opportunity with his current discography.

He’s all the way in the wrong.
There’s no getting around that. And why perform 99 Problems, (which has content he could never relate to), change the verses, and leave an out of context chorus, if it’s not a cowardly and yet pointed statement towards Christina?
It was out of line and yes, very misogynistic.

[ Also, you fucked your whole entire point by mentioning Christina’s style of dress or image. That’s no excuse for slut-shaming or disrespecting her by calling her out of her name. ]

No there’s a new interview where he reiterated what we already know. Maybe he said it in a really mean tone of voice or something. I haven’t listened to it so I don’t know.

• I really love how astute and clear he is, despite talking in circles sometimes.
• I don’t hear anything wrong with his statement regarding making music. He’s always been guarded, and the industry has changed to where the personal is a necessity for these pop “celebrities”/musicians.
• I do think he needs to figure out that just because he was a part of the pop machine, (and was burned by it), that doesn’t mean he has to continue to sell his music and continue his craft in that same forum. (i.e. Gary Clark Jr., Tony Lucca before The Voice)

  Ya’ll… really. Until those dudes can get beyond the seemingly severe bullshit that went down, nothing is gonna happen with *NSync. JC Chasez has always seemed the type to wear his heart on his sleeve, especially with Justin, (not even in a slash way), and he has to be still bitter about how it all went down. [And by all I mean, the group ending, his record-his first realized solo project-not doing well, his friendships likely going wayward..]
